Palmera's Dimsum House
Natry ko na din sa wakas ang Palmera's Dimsum House. I ordered the basic menu, Shark's fin dimsum, Spring Rolls and YangChao Rice. Nalasahan ko yung difference ng lasa specially sa Yang Chao rice pero between Palmera and Mel's, pantay lang sila sa lasa for me. Mas mahal lang ng slight sa Palmera. This order combination is P175 sa Mel's pero sa Palmera P195. Sa serving naman, both shark's fin and spring rolls pareho lang ng dami. Pero nagkatalo sa Rice. Halos same price pero mas kaunti. Sa Mel's P65 good for 3 person while sa Palmera ay P65 pero good for 2 person lang. Kaya ayun nung naubos ko yung Rice, pinapak ko na lang yung spring rolls hehehe.

Mel's Tea House
I'm a sucker for chinese food specially dimsum and fried rice. But we all know di naman ganun kamura ang chinese food. The cheapest chinese food I can afford is Chowking and Paotsin for dimsum. But even that is still pricey for me. Kaya nang madiscover ko ang Mel's Tea, sinabi ko talaga na ito na ang sagot sa mga Chinese food craving ko in budget friendly prizes.
This menu that includes a platter of Shanghai Rice (good for 3), 4 piece Shark's fin and 1 order of Spring Rolls is only P165. If I will compare this to Chowking, P165 can only buy me 2 orders of Chaofan and 3 piece of siomai and a small glass of softdrink. With Paotsin naman, P150 I can avail 2 orders of dimsum with rice plus smallest cup of buko juice. At first look it may look like they don't have big difference but Mel's tea house house s is definitely better than the two. The P65 fried rice platter is way better than a bowl of chao fan or a cup of lemak rice from paotsin. The dimsum of Mel's Tea is also beyond satisfactory. The filling is tight and full. And lastly the spring rolls is more than just a lumpiang shanghai. Kung may irereklamo lang ako sa place is yung cooking time. Most dishes takes too long tp cook. Last time I visit, my order took 45 minutes tops while earlier it only took them less than 30 minutes. I really hope they can improve on making their cooking and prep time more consistent.
To sum it up, if you are willing to wait then this place is fo you. But if you are the kind that always in a hurry, better ignpre this foodie place.

My Love Affair with Chinese Food: King Bee
Since 2015, I can't hardly count how often I dined in King Bee. I guess you can say it is a Love at first bite. For me King Bee is so far the best Chinese Restaurant I know. Of course I'm still open to discover other eat destinations but for now, King Bee is definitely on the top of my list. So everytime there is an occasion, King Bee is always an option. But despite dining in King Bee for almost 2 years, I just realized that there are still dishes in their menu that I haven't tried. And just like what I expected, they didn't disappoint me.

Conchiglie on Tomato Sauce and Basil
It is one of those morning when I drive all over my town to grab some snacks. But this morning, I wasn't that lucky. All 7eleven stores are closed due to some pest control maintainance. Amd since I'm on a limited fuel (gas station is a couple of kilometers away and there's a comelec checkpoint), I didn't bother lookong for place to score snacks and just go home.
Of course, I'm still hungry so I checked the pantry for anything. And there an idea just popped. I grabbed my ingredients and tada, here's my midnight treat.
Oh it is so delicious. I used this bottled gourmet tomato sauce with basil from Toronto and some microwaveable Conchiglie pasta. I also added chopped Hotdogs. Love love love it!!! But I guess it will taste better if my ingredients are complete. I don't have onions and garlic. So I will try to cook it again next time with complete ingredients.
Chicken Veggie Rice
Guest what? Another random rice meal with chopped vegies and leftover Steamed White Chicken from King Bee. Yum yum lunch.
Kalye's Angels Shines in New Mc Donald's TVC
The AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza/Yaya Dub have reached the peak of their superstardom. That is proven when the recently concluded "Tamang Panahon" concert had a successful run in Philippine Arena last Saturday. Other than that AlDub also stars on a growing number of brand TVCs. And everything starts with McDonald's. After receiving good feedbacks and great sale, McDonald's now gives us another TVC but this time with an added extra. This time AlDub is joined by the Kalye's Angels, Nidora played by Wally Bayola, Tidora played by Paolo Ballesteros and Tinidora played by Jose Manalo.

Curry Veggie Chao Fan
It is a very relaxed sunday night and I'm in the living room watching a crime documentary in TV, I got hungry so I cooked a bowl full of Curry Veggie Chao Fan. I've been experimenting with this recipe for weeks and I think I nailed the right one. This particular recipe only includes leftover rice, soy sauce, curry powder and chopped onions, ginger, carrots and some green peas and corn. I cooked it using margarine. Before, I added bagoong but the flavor is too strong and it cancels the taste of curry. So I decided to omit it. Try it for yourself and let me know if you have any advice to make it better. Happy eating.
